Important: if you started your BA before 2018 The structure of the BA is changing and the information in this handbook is intended for students starting their BA in 2018. If you started your BA before 2018, you can complete your degree with the requirements that were in place when you first enrolled. If you wish, you can choose to opt in to the new BA structure instead, completing a double major with the option of taking one or two modules as part of your degree. Note that you cannot mix the old and new BA requirements. If you wish to take a module, you must opt in to the new BA structure, which requires a double major. PUBLICATION DATE: September 2017 Changes to the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Arts conjoint for 2018 The structure of the BA and BA conjoint degrees is changing for 2018. The new requirements are provided in this handbook, and include the following changes: Changes to the BA • Two BA majors (a double major) or a specialisation in Communication are required. • You must include at least 90 points (six courses) at Stage III level (includes courses for the double major). • You have the option of taking one or two modules.
